They're Here!

On Tuesday (34 weeks exactly) I went out to run some errands. I brought the dogs with me. Unfortunately, around 1:00 pm I was involved in an accident. Myself and the dogs were okay, but my water broke immediately. I stayed in my car until they put me into the ambulance. A first responder called W and he headed over immediately to get the dogs and then headed to the hospital.

At 4:28 Lucy Rose was born weighing 3 lbs 15 oz and at 4:29 Clara Anne arrived weighing 4 lbs 11 oz. Both girls received a 9 for APGAR scores and were transferred to the NICU.

I will update the complete story soon, but we are all doing great. W and I are both so in love.

  1. Ahh! Congrats! It sounds like a dramatic story, but I'm so glad to hear that they're healthy and doing well. I always knew your twins would come earlier than my singleton (and I'm happy for her to stay in there for several more weeks, of course!), but I'm still jealous! Enjoy your beautiful little ones -- I hope they have an easy path home and in the rest of their lives!

  12. I've been silently following along with you for quite a while, since the days of our own fertility journey and IVF . I just wanted to say a big CONGRATULATIONS and wish you guys the best of luck. So happy both girls are doing well. My twin girls were also born at exactly 34 weeks - Samantha was 14 lbs 12 oz and Annie was 3 lbs 14 oz. Today they are both happy healthy 17 month olds who weigh 25 lbs! Enjoy your girls. You are in for the ride of your life!!!
